The Secret To Weight Loss Is Not In Calorie Counting

One of the biggest myths in how to lose weight is that if you just lower your daily calorie intake, the pounds will come off. But the truth is, calories have very little to do with being skinny or fat. Here's why...

First, it's important to remember that there are 3 kinds of calories that you eat:
  • Protein calories
  • Fat calories
  • Carbohydrate calories
Your body doesn't care how many calories you consume, only with how MUCH of each one.

A good example of this is with sugar calories. When you eat too many calories that contain sugar your body can't use them all up, so it stores them as fat.

Also keep in mind that most all fat free foods you buy in the grocery store are filled with sugar. In fact, when you compare labels on the fat free version of the same food you will notice that it will generally have more sugar than the regular version.

This is why people can still gain weight even though they may eat less food during the day than skinnier people.

In order to burn fat and lose weight, you need to eat the right kinds of calories every day. Your body needs a combination of all 3 types of calories to maintain it, but it needs the right proportion of them or you will find yourself gaining more weight.

The key is to eat foods which burn fat and don't cause blood sugar levels to spike. How many times have you eaten sweets and had a lot of energy, only to be tired and hungry after a couple of hours? It happens all too often for many people.

So, what types of foods are "fat burning" foods? To find this out as well as how to put these foods to work in losing weight fast you can visit our new Fat Burning Diet.
